Business Information Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between business units and corporate security teams to align objectives with security strategies.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding security-related questions, concerns, and communications.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures tailored to specific business needs.
• Lead risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities impacting business operations.
• Oversee compliance with data protection regulations and internal security requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement to assess third-party vendor security and privacy risks (TPRM).
• Facilitate external Infosec audits by coordinating documentation and addressing audit findings.
• Drive incident response planning and coordinate actions during security breaches.
• Report risk assessments, metrics, and progress updates to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Mandatory experience with ISO 27001 standards.
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or IT security roles.
• Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks including SOC2 and NIST CSF.
• Proven ability to translate technical security concepts into business language for stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
