Business Information Architect

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the business information architecture for customer data across systems, processes, and data domains.
• Develop and govern customer business terms, definitions, critical data elements, hierarchies, and business rules.
• Analyze and document how customer data is created, mastered, transformed, integrated, and consumed across enterprise systems.
• Partner with Data Governance, Data Stewards, and IT teams to align customer information architecture with governance standards.
• Support consistency of customer data across SAP MDG, ERP, and contract lifecycle management systems.
• Maintain traceability between business definitions, stewardship practices, and downstream system implementations.
• Define and promote standards for customer data quality, semantic consistency, accessibility, and security.
• Monitor and assess customer data issues, architecture gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, business, finance, supply chain, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, information architecture, or enterprise data management.
• Proven experience with customer master data, customer hierarchies, and customer relationships.
• Proficiency with SAP MDG, ERP-centered processes, or comparable customer master environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data management, and operational data quality principles.
• Experience documenting data flows across systems, integrations, and business processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence in a matrixed environment.
