Business Excellence Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute time studies, including stopwatch timing, line balancing, and standard work documentation
• Collect and analyze capacity data, direct labor performance, and takt/rate analysis
• Monitor and record downtime using systems such as FlexFlow and Downtime Tracker to identify root causes
• Support Kaizen events through data collection, 5S implementation, and "as-is/to-be" mapping
• Develop technical documentation including standardized work instructions, cell layouts, and process sheets
• Prepare performance dashboards and reports using Excel and PowerPoint for management reviews
• Assist in the assembly of simple jigs, fixtures, and mockups to support station improvements
• Train operators and technicians on new standardized work methods and data collection procedures

Requirements

• Technical degree in Mechanics, Production, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, PivotTables, charts) and PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience with time studies, capacity/throughput, and 5S methodologies
• Proficiency with FlexFlow software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing (SMT/FA)
• Lean Six Sigma White Belt or Yellow Belt certification
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for basic layouts or Minitab for statistical analysis
• Knowledge of Downtime Tracker or Mamut systems
