Business Director

Responsibilities

• Audit and master the FMCG client portfolio to ensure elite precision in day-to-day servicing
• Develop, scale, and diversify FMCG accounts to create profitable business streams
• Participate in new business pitches and close major out-of-scope projects
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior FMCG marketing clients and C-suite stakeholders
• Infuse emerging media, retail media, and market trends into communications strategies
• Lead high-stakes contract negotiations, market reviews, and cost-savings exercises
• Lead, motivate, and mentor a multi-functional team of Managers, Planners, and Buyers
• Manage team performance appraisals, development paths, and recruitment efforts
• Partner with leadership to manage client revenue and portfolio profitability
• Spearhead new business development and boost agency visibility through awards and publicity

Requirements

• Strong, demonstrable background in the FMCG/CPG sector
• 8+ years of experience managing high-profile accounts with a focus on media planning
• Sound knowledge of digital landscape including SEM, video, mobile, and retail media
• Mastery of research, planning, and implementation processes
• Sharp understanding of trading dynamics and media pricing models
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex projects under high-stakes deadlines
• Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Expertise in relevant media industry software, tools, and systems
