Responsibilities
- Support the pipeline of business opportunities and deals to drive sales and accountability
- Lead, manage, and track all New York auction consignments
- Support the development of financial models for auction consignments
- Prepare client facing deal communication and take a client facing role for commercial terms
- Serve as the first business point of contact for negotiations for consignments, vendors, and consultants
- Support annual budget planning and regular forecasting
- Translate financial results and KPIs into operational recommendations
- Manage all sale and department expenses
- Regularly review and develop plans for Sotheby’s inventory
- Act as a strategic partner for senior management by reviewing competitive analysis and market share
- Research potential additional revenue streams and develop business plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of professional experience in business management, banking, financial, or consulting roles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior deal or contract negotiation experience
- Interest or curiosity in art or luxury objects
