About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual sales action plans to ensure targeted growth and achievement of revenue targets
  • Grow testing and food inspection service offerings across the Health and Nutrition sector
  • Manage and grow designated accounts through proactive client engagement
  • Prepare quotations, service level agreements, and tenders within set deadlines
  • Identify, research, and contact potential clients to establish new business
  • Maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients through regular contact
  • Provide management with regular forecasts, client updates, and sales reports
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, accounting, technical, and operations teams
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and facilitate the resolution of customer problems

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in business development or key account management
  • Proven track record in a sales field
  • Knowledge of the food and/or agricultural industry
  • Tertiary Food or Agricultural qualification preferred
  • High level of written and verbal English and Afrikaans
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Experience in a testing laboratory environment is an advantage
