Business Development Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop sales opportunities by identifying potential clients, soliciting new business, and building rapport
• Communicate clear and detailed explanations of Fire and Life Safety services to prospects and existing clients
• Collaborate with technical colleagues to prepare proposals and marketing qualifications
• Manage existing client accounts to support service renewals and identify value-added opportunities
• Maintain accurate sales data, including pipelines, orders, and contract renewal dates
• Conduct outbound calls to potential customers and respond to inquiries promptly
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and potential risks within the client base
• Support Business Development and Operations teams in moving proposals through the pipeline to secure orders

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an Inside Sales Representative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service and active listening skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
• Experience with government contract tracking systems (e.g., GovWin, Deltek)
• Experience working within a professional services firm
