About the role
Responsibilities
- Prospect for new business through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, and local networking
- Identify and qualify companies for managed IT, cybersecurity, and cloud services
- Schedule and conduct qualified discovery appointments with prospective clients
- Maintain accurate activity and contact records in the company CRM/PSA
- Research target accounts, decision makers, and industry technology challenges
- Represent the company at local business events, chamber events, and trade shows
- Meet or exceed activity, appointment, and pipeline targets
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, or outbound business development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable making outbound calls and handling rejection
- Ability to learn technical concepts and explain them in business terms
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling managed IT services, cybersecurity, or B2B software
- Familiarity with CRM or PSA tools like ConnectWise, HubSpot, or Salesforce
- Experience with LinkedIn prospecting and email cadences
- Existing local business relationships
