Business Development Representative

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for prospects in a brand-new vertical
• Utilize email, phone, and other creative channels to reach prospective clients through outbound tactics
• Build and iterate on the outbound playbook from scratch, including sequences, scripts, and targeting
• Track sales activity using Salesforce and help define data-driven benchmarks for success
• Overcome objections, pitch value propositions, and move prospects through the sales funnel
• Partner with Account Executives on client handoffs and provide feedback to product and marketing teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of XDR/BDR/SDR experience in a high-growth startup environment (SaaS preferred)
• Proven experience launching outbound into a new vertical, market, or product
• Strong cold-calling skills and experience working in ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments
• Proficiency with standard sales tools and a desire to implement new technologies
• Ability to work independently and build processes without an existing playbook

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building a founding sales motion at an early-stage business unit
• Background in marketplace models or the healthcare/dental industry
• Experience in SMB sales
