Blackbird Labs is a loyalty and payments platform establishing meaningful connections between the world’s best restaurants and their customers. Founded by the co-founder of Eater and Resy, Blackbird offers a customizable loyalty programming platform and a consumer app designed to revolutionize the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source qualified leads to bring the best restaurants in the world onto the Blackbird platform
  • Complete at least 100 high-quality outreach activities daily including cold calls, emails, social touches, and door knocks
  • Host qualification calls to develop an understanding of each prospect's needs
  • Schedule meetings for qualified prospects to ensure a seamless handoff to Account Executives
  • Build and maintain a self-sourced pipeline alongside assigned leads
  • Develop deep knowledge of the NYC restaurant scene to prospect with relevance and credibility
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives on handoff quality and feedback loops

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar outbound sales role
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and activity targets
  • High-activity mindset comfortable making 100+ touches per day
  • Resilience, grit, and coachability
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills to manage high daily activity
  • Ambition to grow into a full-cycle Account Executive role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with field sales or in-person prospecting
  • A genuine connection to the NYC restaurant or hospitality scene
  • Experience selling disruptive SMB tech products
  • Background in competitive environments such as college athletics or sales competitions
