About the role
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and prospect target healthcare organizations within assigned North American territories using phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Execute multi-channel prospecting campaigns to generate qualified sales opportunities and build a robust pipeline.
- Conduct detailed account research to understand organizational priorities, budgeting cycles, and key stakeholder structures.
- Identify and develop relationships with decision-makers and executive-level stakeholders within customer organizations.
- Apply consultative selling techniques to uncover customer needs and articulate the value of Elsevier's clinical and nursing solutions.
- Qualify opportunities and schedule discovery meetings for Sales Executives, providing comprehensive handoff information.
- Manage and close designated transactional sales opportunities within smaller healthcare organizations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all prospecting activities and customer interactions within the CRM.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of successful B2B sales, business development, or lead generation experience.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and generating new business opportunities.
- Experience engaging decision-makers and executive-level stakeholders within complex organizations.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales engagement tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% for overnight business trips.

- Experience in the healthcare, healthcare technology, or SaaS industries.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and regulatory environment.
- Experience selling technology-enabled solutions in a complex B2B environment.
