Business Development Officer

Responsibilities

• Identify, foster, and maintain relationships with potential and existing employer partners
• Research and analyze potential employers to recommend student placement opportunities
• Develop and implement marketing plans to promote programs and initiatives that support strategic objectives
• Track the status of business development initiatives, activities, and outcomes
• Conduct work term site visits and maintain accurate database records
• Lead outreach and relationship-building activities to increase experiential learning opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of professional experience
• Proven expertise in Experiential Learning and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) development
• Strong background in strategic B2B sales and account management
• Experience with data-driven labour market analysis and strategic market analysis
• Proficiency in CRM workflow management and database maintenance
• Demonstrated ability in multi-stakeholder navigation and relationship building

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing employer or industry network
• Experience in Higher Education or Career Services
• Knowledge of University of Toronto Mississauga academic programs
• Experience with marketing, brand-building, and employer value propositions
• Experience with alumni and community partnership development
