Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, and related logistics services
• Develop and execute multi-channel account plans for target markets, industries, and geographies
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve revenue targets
• Conduct needs assessments and prepare compelling proposals and bids
• Collaborate with Operations, Pricing, and Compliance to ensure competitive service offerings
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with customers and internal stakeholders
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes
• Represent the company at industry events and build a strong external network
• Manage post-sale onboarding and ensure customer satisfaction
• Prepare regular sales reports and revenue analyses for leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
• 4+ years of B2B sales experience in freight/logistics or 3PL sectors
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Deep knowledge of air, ocean, road, and rail freight modes, customs procedures, and incoterms
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and proposal-writing skills
• Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office
• Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience with freight forwarders, NVOCCs, or freight brokerage
• Understanding of digital freight platforms and modal optimization
• Certifications such as CCLR or CPSM
