Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new institutional clients including banks, asset managers, and funds
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and presentations to closing and onboarding
• Drive revenue growth and increase assets under custody through proactive relationship management
• Promote Swissquote Malta’s products and services, including brokerage, FX, and derivatives
• Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with professional and institutional partners
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, Compliance, and Marketing to ensure seamless client onboarding and service
• Represent the company at industry conferences and client events to generate new leads

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in institutional sales within a bank, broker, or financial institution
• Proven expertise in client acquisition and relationship management
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and institutional client needs
• Deep knowledge of brokerage, FX, and derivatives
• Familiarity with MiFID and broader EU regulatory frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of electronic trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Integral, or 360T
• Existing professional network within Malta or relevant international markets
• Proven track record in onboarding institutional clients and developing long-term partnerships
