Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategy for data centre construction, building and infrastructure services in Malaysia
• Assess market opportunities, customer needs, and technical feasibility for new service offerings
• Build and manage a qualified pipeline across data centre owners, hyperscalers, developers, and contractors
• Identify, qualify, and convert new project opportunities through meetings, proposals, and tender support
• Work with technical teams to translate customer needs into practical service scopes and value propositions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and ecosystem stakeholders
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging data centre opportunities
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and management reports
• Represent SGS at industry events, networking sessions, and marketing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, Business, or Marketing
• 5–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within Building & Infrastructure, construction, or technical services
• Minimum 2 years of exposure to data centre construction, mission-critical facilities, or industrial projects
• Proven track record in developing new customers and managing project pipelines
• Understanding of data centre construction lifecycle, commissioning, QA/QC, and MEP systems
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time for customer meetings and site visits
