Business Development Manager, Senior

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets within the assigned territory
• Develop and execute long-term business development strategies aligned with corporate goals
• Prepare individual sales plans, identify new prospects, and manage the sales pipeline
• Provide accurate forecasts and report on market developments and competitor activities
• Oversee complex proposals and strategic client engagements, ensuring accurate planning of scope and budgets
• Mentor and coach junior business development staff to foster talent development
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape go-to-market strategies
• Represent the company at high-profile industry events to strengthen brand positioning

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience selling at the executive level
• Existing senior-level relationships within refineries, terminals, industrial, and petrochemical plants
• Solid understanding of the energy sector
• Proficiency with CRM tools, specifically Salesforce
• Strong business acumen in economics, finance, and accounting
• Ability to travel 30-40% within Canada and North America
• Valid passport required
• Proven experience selling solutions or service-type products in industrial environments
