Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the maritime sector to expand the client base
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shipping companies and maritime service providers
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives
• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and technical departments to create customized proposals
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed on industry trends
• Negotiate contracts and close deals to maximize revenue and profitability
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the maritime or shipping industry
• Proven track record of successfully developing and closing business opportunities
• Strong understanding of maritime industry dynamics, regulations, and client challenges
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
