Business Development Manager

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to provide critical power to hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases.

Responsibilities

• Independently source and qualify leads across commercial verticals, primarily Fortune 500 companies
• Lead client conversations from first contact through discovery, proposal, and term sheet
• Support negotiation of commercial documents toward binding agreements in collaboration with executive leadership
• Build and maintain a high-quality commercial pipeline independently
• Develop tailored proposals and external communications
• Learn product fundamentals, siting, licensing, and utility energy to speak credibly with customers
• Act as a brand ambassador for Radiant's mission and values

Requirements

• Proven ability to source national opportunities independently
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• US Citizen or green card holder
• Ability to travel for in-person meetings 2-3 times per month
• Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA from a top-tier school
• Big 3 management consulting experience
• Experience selling complex hardware or infrastructure with long deal timelines
• Passion for nuclear energy and a carbon-free future
