About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale partnership models with public districts to align Khan Academy’s value proposition with district priorities.
  • Build and manage a structured pipeline of public sector opportunities, including mapping priority cities, states, and upcoming tenders.
  • Lead the full cycle of public bid responses, including analyzing RFPs, assessing legal/compliance risks, and preparing technical and financial documentation.
  • Manage end-to-end priority partnerships with public school systems to ensure strong implementation and measurable learning outcomes.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with decision-makers in public districts, navigating complex political and institutional environments.
  • Translate implementation learnings into playbooks to scale best practices across future public sector partnerships.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in education, business development, consulting, or sales to government/public-sector programs.
  • Proven experience with public procurement processes and managing contracts within the public sector.
  • 3+ years of experience managing institutional partner relationships and leading complex, multi-stakeholder implementations.
  • Fluency in both Portuguese and English (written and verbal).
  • Residency in, or willingness to relocate to, São Paulo, with legal authorization to work in Brazil.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous, politically complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with public education systems, NGOs, or government organizations.
  • Demonstrated passion for education equity and supporting underserved communities.
  • Classroom teaching experience in K–12 settings.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for workflow efficiency or data analysis.
