Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Utilize market data and develop sales strategies to increase the customer base across various tiers
• Maintain thorough knowledge of company products and services, including air, ocean, and customs brokerage
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term business relationships with new and existing clients
• Provide pricing, credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for obtained orders
• Provide regular activity reports and strategic sales plans for the assigned territory
• Actively participate in sales and skills training to maintain competitive edge

Requirements

• 5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics
• Deep knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, including air, ocean, imports, exports, and customs brokerage
• Proven experience in consultative selling and managing complex sales cycles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM/CMS tools
• Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling into specific verticals such as Pharma & Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, or Technology
• Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams
