About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional business plans to achieve annual sales volume and revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Hispanic grocery chains, independent tiendas, and carnicerias.
- Grow existing accounts by expanding SKU assortment and securing secondary placements for Mission Foods products.
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and contract agreements in alignment with company guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners, buyers, and category managers through regular in-person visits.
- Analyze market trends and competitive activity within the Hispanic segment to inform go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with field sales and trade marketing to execute culturally relevant in-store events and promotions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of progressive sales or business development experience, preferably in CPG or food manufacturing.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.
- Proven success selling into Hispanic retail channels in the Southeast U.S.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Established relationships within the Hispanic business community in the Atlanta, Charlotte, or Nashville markets.
- Experience with Direct Store Delivery (DSD) or distributor-based sales models.
- Background in tortilla, bakery, snack food, or Latin food categories.
- Knowledge of planogram principles, category management, and shelf optimization.
