About the role

Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue and market share through strategic sales activity and campaigns
  • Manage and expand Platinum and Key Accounts across NSW & ACT
  • Deliver weekly in-store visits, training, and presentations to travel agents
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans with key partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential income streams
  • Monitor ROI and manage the state/territory budget effectively
  • Represent Journey Beyond & Grand Pacific Tours at trade shows, expos, and industry events
  • Promote and train agents on key tools, including the GPT Agent Portal
  • Host familiarisation trips to New Zealand to showcase the product

Requirements

  • Previous experience in domestic travel distribution with a solid understanding of the Australian travel trade
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within the tourism industry
  • Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based rhythm (typically four days on the road)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
  • A current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to travel frequently and work outside standard hours as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Tourism
