Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead overall business development and marketing efforts for assigned practices and regions
• Oversee the preparation of pitches, RFPs, and client-facing materials, including leading strategy sessions and tracking outcomes
• Spearhead the drafting and maintenance of practice-specific marketing materials and collateral
• Support key client efforts to identify, develop, and grow high-value relationships
• Lead client targeting and teaming initiatives to cross-pollinate relationships globally
• Collaborate with functional managers on visibility, speaking opportunities, and digital marketing initiatives
• Contribute to the execution of seminars, events, and conference sponsorships
• Manage one direct report and assist with the development of early-tenure marketing team members

Requirements

• University degree
• 5-7 years of experience in professional services (legal experience preferred)
• 2+ years of team management experience
• Proven experience with strategic business development planning and pitching
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
• Strong project management and ability to work under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity and comfort with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Co-Pilot
