Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead overall business development and marketing for the Madrid office and broader efforts in Spain
• Support key client efforts to identify, develop, and grow high-value client relationships
• Lead and execute all relevant pitches and RFPs, collaborating with the global proposals team when necessary
• Draft and maintain practice and location-specific marketing materials for the Madrid office
• Support lawyers on individual business development activities and integration for future laterals
• Maintain lawyer biographies and support directory and award responses
• Spearhead local matter collection to ensure the experience database is updated for global league tables
• Collaborate on PR, visibility, and social media efforts with the PR team
• Plan and manage seminars, events, conference attendance, and other targeted marketing activities

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in professional services (legal experience preferred)
• Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and oral)
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work both autonomously and in a team
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of team management experience
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Co-Pilot
• Experience with Foundation and Interaction
