Business Development Manager - Discovery Services

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for sales of Eurofins Discovery services meeting sales and revenue growth targets
• Develop and maintain high level client relationships through regular face to face meetings
• Provide recommendations and feedback for business development and operational strategy
• Work with sales and operations teams to drive business
• Maintain technical and application competence to promote customer satisfaction
• Use CRM to log client meetings, calls, and track opportunities
• Create and update key account plans in CRM
• Provide monthly business forecasts
• Travel approximately 10-20% outside of assigned territory

Requirements

• B.S. in Pharmacology, Biology, or similar Life Science degree
• Demonstrated experience selling drug discovery services
• Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug discovery process
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals
• Experience prospecting and generating new business in pharma and biotech
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Valid Driver’s license
• Ability to travel up to 20% and occasional international travel
• Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or business credentials
• Existing relationships within the Boston/Cambridge biotech and pharmaceutical ecosystem
