About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement the transactional practice growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Partner with lawyers in the Banking, Finance, and Bankruptcy groups to drive client development and relationship management plans.
  • Develop cross-selling opportunities and implement strategies to capture new business within the legal market.
  • Lead business development strategies using market intelligence to maintain the group's competitive profile.
  • Assist in the development of high-quality proposals, including collecting practice area descriptions and representative matters.
  • Coordinate deliverables for key sponsorships and firm positioning events to strengthen client connections.
  • Manage directory submissions and track industry rankings and awards, such as Chambers and Legal 500.
  • Support lateral partners in developing and implementing their marketing and business development plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development or marketing, preferably within the legal or professional services industry.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work independently with high levels of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
