Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the business development and Columbia leadership teams to develop strategic growth goals
  • Conduct market research and targeted outreach to create awareness and demand for A+S services
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and track new project opportunities
  • Build and maintain a robust, forward-looking pipeline
  • Develop and execute strategies to engage architecture firms and position A+S as a preferred MEP partner
  • Build strong relationships with commercial real estate professionals, developers, and industry influencers
  • Coordinate with technical staff to align client needs with A+S capabilities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and pipeline activity within a CRM platform
  • Support proposal efforts by coordinating with marketing and technical teams
  • Represent A+S at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Requirements

  • 7+ years of business development experience in the AEC industry preferred
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business with architecture firms
  • Experience positioning engineering services within architect-led pursuits
  • Strong network and familiarity with the DMV market
  • Proven ability to manage a qualified pipeline and convert relationships into project wins
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Vantagepoint or HubSpot
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
