About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the US subsidiary of a global electro-mechanical component manufacturer, driving commercial growth across the US, Canada, and Mexico
- Own the full business development lifecycle, including identifying new market opportunities and establishing strategic alliances
- Manage day-to-day operations, financial performance (P&L), budgeting, and forecasting
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and proposal development
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key customer organizations
- Mentor and lead a dedicated team, setting the tone for company culture and performance
- Collaborate with global headquarters on R&D, engineering, and product management
- Provide hands-on technical support for product inquiries and troubleshooting as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent college degree
- 10+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years in sales or business development
- Proven track record of hitting revenue targets and closing complex deals
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel 20%+, including international trips to Swiss headquarters
- Valid driver's license
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Hagerstown, MD
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Mechatronic Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience in consultative sales of technical components for machinery manufacturers
- Strong product-specific technical understanding
- Background in marketing or business administration
- Experience leading or coordinating small teams

- Base salary ranging from $140,000 to $150,000
