About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the US subsidiary of a global electro-mechanical component manufacturer, driving commercial growth across the US, Canada, and Mexico
  • Own the full business development lifecycle, including identifying new market opportunities and establishing strategic alliances
  • Manage day-to-day operations, financial performance (P&L), budgeting, and forecasting
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and proposal development
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key customer organizations
  • Mentor and lead a dedicated team, setting the tone for company culture and performance
  • Collaborate with global headquarters on R&D, engineering, and product management
  • Provide hands-on technical support for product inquiries and troubleshooting as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent college degree
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years in sales or business development
  • Proven track record of hitting revenue targets and closing complex deals
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel 20%+, including international trips to Swiss headquarters
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Hagerstown, MD
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechatronic Engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience in consultative sales of technical components for machinery manufacturers
  • Strong product-specific technical understanding
  • Background in marketing or business administration
  • Experience leading or coordinating small teams
