Business Development Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead Japan operations by developing and executing strategies to expand solution adoption across multiple verticals.
• Manage the entire sales pipeline from prospecting and origination to deal structure, negotiation, and closure.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with enterprises, ecosystem partners, and regulators in Japan.
• Support local marketing initiatives and brand-building activities to establish LayerZero as a leading interoperability provider.
• Represent the company as a thought leader at flagship conferences and industry events.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with global business development, product, and marketing teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience, ideally within technology, fintech, or Web3 sectors.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese business and regulatory environment.
• Proven track record of end-to-end business development and managing senior-level stakeholder relationships.
• Professional proficiency in both Japanese and English.
• Strong strategic thinking, sales acumen, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take high levels of ownership.
