About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage 3-year business development plans in collaboration with Delivery Business Units
  • Lead solution design to support growth priorities and shape opportunities prior to RFP release
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new and expansion opportunities through market cultivation
  • Identify market opportunities, emerging client needs, and solution gaps
  • Maintain and manage pipeline and forecasts using Salesforce and ERP systems
  • Support proposal development to ensure bids are competitive, compliant, and differentiated
  • Coordinate program design, solution narratives, value propositions, and pricing strategies
  • Partner with Delivery, Product, and Policy teams to ensure solution scalability and alignment
  • Lead pursuit timelines and milestones across workstreams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in business development or consulting
  • Advanced experience leading solution strategy in regulated or utility-focused markets
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Policy, Engineering, and IT teams
  • In-depth knowledge of energy efficiency programs and utility procurement processes
  • Advanced financial and strategic thinking skills including pricing strategy and budget analysis
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining industry and client relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Relevant energy/utility credentials such as CEM or PMP
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior staff on proposal development
  • Deep understanding of utility/regulated market structures and procurement approaches (RFP/RFQ)
