Business Development Expert

Responsibilities

• Support balancing market design change implementations regarding business processes and IT development
• Build renewable production forecasts with different lead times
• Conduct market analysis, price forecasting, and generate commercial strategy suggestions
• Manage local STS stakeholders in infrastructure and commercial product development
• Automate existing operational and analytical processes
• Develop business cases and commercial development strategies
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with forecasting and analytics teams to refine price models
• Guide system development and cooperation with functional teams like algorithmic trading and aggregator logic

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, engineering)
• 3+ years of professional experience in the Hungarian power market
• Understanding of Hungary’s and regional power market regulations and aggregation experience
• Experience in algorithmic optimization programs
• Proficiency in Python, R, BI, or SQL
• Knowledge of regulatory changes such as MARI and PICASSO
• Fluency in English and Hungarian
