About the role
Responsibilities
- Create opportunities for new accounts or projects generating a minimum of $50,000 in new business revenue
- Qualify opportunities to determine suitability for consultative reviews
- Engage internal expertise to assist in closing accounts
- Build and protect the company brand through professional service presentation
- Manage client relationships in conjunction with service teams to ensure retention and referrals
- Maintain an accurate prospect list in Salesforce
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and company meetings
- Mentor new Business Development Executives or Associates
- Stay current on industry trends, legislation, and technology
Requirements
- Property and Casualty and Health license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Bachelor's degree and/or commensurate business experience
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the insurance brokerage industry preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including cold calling and presentation
- Ability to influence and build credibility with C-suite executives
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
