About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify and close significant business opportunities for biobanking, sample preparation, and specialty lab services
- Develop and enhance client relationships within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO sectors
- Qualify leads and write detailed proposals in collaboration with internal experts
- Develop project budgets and pricing to ensure accuracy
- Maintain contact management and opportunity tracking using Salesforce.com
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related sales experience, OR Master's degree with 2 years, OR PhD with 0-1 years
- Proven track record in business development within pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO organizations
- Experience selling biobanking, sample preparation, or specialty lab services
- Ability to travel up to 35% including domestic and international overnight stays
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic concentration in life sciences or a related field
- Master's or PhD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
- 10 years of related sales experience
