Business Development Director

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans to meet and exceed North American growth objectives
• Lead and manage the USA sales team, including recruitment and professional development
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through partnerships with dealer partners, architects, and designers
• Build and nurture robust relationships across the MillerKnoll family to drive shared growth
• Own the quality and accuracy of CRM data to ensure efficient lead routing and effective sales execution
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to refine regional sales strategies
• Track key performance indicators and generate actionable insights to inform decision-making
• Attend networking events, industry seminars, and supplier events to expand market presence

Requirements

• Degree-level education
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships within the contract furniture industry
• Proven track record of leading, empowering, and developing a sales team
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
