Business Development Director

Responsibilities

• Secure and retain business through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and influencers.
• Actively prospect and leverage new business opportunities within specified customer accounts.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers and develop in-depth knowledge of customer organizations.
• Analyze potential opportunities and develop strategic sales plans for target accounts.
• Coordinate with contracts and proposals teams to develop comprehensive solutions and lead sales presentations.
• Monitor competitive activities, positioning, and pricing to maintain market awareness.
• Serve as a primary liaison between customers and IQVIA's technical and operational groups.
• Maintain high visibility within customer organizations and monitor satisfaction through regular communication.
• Record all sales-related activities in the CRM system and prepare activity reports for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 12 years of related experience, including at least 5 years in the CRO or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of engaging with mid-level and high-level contacts.
• Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of drug discovery and development.
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel up to 30% as required.
