About the role
Responsibilities
- Initiate, coordinate, and develop strategic sales plans within specified territories or accounts
- Identify new markets and research business opportunities to expand account reach
- Lead the proposal process by collecting critical information and providing detailed input
- Prepare sponsor presentations and facilitate team preparedness for client meetings and Bid Defence Meetings (BDM)
- Coordinate and monitor budget and contract negotiations post-award
- Interact with operations to track study status and coordinate change orders
- Establish and maintain rapport with current and future clients
- Monitor competitor CRO activities and attend major industrial tradeshows
Requirements
- Considerable CRO sales experience
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Established network of decision makers within Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies
- Proven track record of securing profitable service contracts
- Awareness of clinical trial trends, government policies, and regulations
- Excellent communication, team leadership, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to travel according to business development strategy needs
