Business Controller

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, forecasts, and budgets
• Analyze cost structures, margins, and variances against budget and forecast
• Monitor fixed and variable production costs including raw materials, logistics, energy, and labor
• Support monthly and annual closings in collaboration with the accounting function
• Analyze production volumes, yields, recovery rates, and efficiency indicators
• Monitor sawmill KPIs such as production yield, consumption rates, and downtime
• Monitor inventory levels and valuation of timber and finished goods
• Act as a financial sparring partner to sawmill management and department heads
• Support CAPEX evaluations, post-calculations, and profitability analyses
• Contribute to the development of controlling tools, reports, and KPIs

Requirements

• University degree in finance, controlling, business administration, or industrial economics
• 3–7 years of experience in controlling or finance, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience in production or operational controlling is highly meritorious
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and margin analysis
• Basic knowledge of Swedish accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems such as Visma or SAP
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus
• Fluency in Swedish and English; German is a merit
