Business Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany transactions
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Prepare monthly reporting packs, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, for regional and corporate management
• Analyze monthly results against budget and forecasts, providing variance explanations and financial insights
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes to improve cost control and profitability
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities for audits and tax compliance
• Lead and develop the accounting and finance team while driving process automation and ERP improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, including 1-2 years in a controlling or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
• Proficiency in German (B2 level)
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Experience in monthly closing and reporting within a multi-entity or international environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or RA
• Proficiency in Mandarin
