Business Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany
• Lead the monthly financial closing process and ensure accurate posting of accruals, provisions, and depreciation
• Convert German GAAP booking to IFRS, local GAAP, and Group policies
• Prepare monthly reporting packs including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis
• Analyze monthly results against budget and forecast to explain variances
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
• Coordinate annual audits and act as the main contact for auditors
• Oversee tax reporting and compliance including VAT, CIT, and withholding tax
• Lead and develop the accounting and finance team
• Drive automation and standardization of financial reporting and support ERP improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• At least 3+ years of finance/accounting experience
• 1-2 years in a controlling or managerial role
• Strong experience in monthly closing and reporting within a multi-entity or international environment
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and internal controls
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools
• Fluency in German (B2 level); Mandarin is a plus
