Business Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead software implementation projects for retail supply chain and merchandising planning.
• Drive and participate in process development workshops in both English and Japanese.
• Create Business Specification Design Documents, user stories, process maps, and UI workflow designs.
• Analyze customer data and KPIs to drive decision-making and process improvements.
• Configure RELEX tools according to specific customer requirements and specifications.
• Deliver training to customer teams and provide ongoing user support.
• Manage change management and ensure successful solution adoption among stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities including scoping, value assessments, and ROI case creation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients by aligning RELEX best practices with their strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese.
• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, retail operations, or business consulting.
• Proven experience within the retail or wholesale sectors (specifically grocery or fashion).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently and interact confidently with customer stakeholders.
• Experience conducting workshops, delivering training, and writing customer-facing documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with planning software such as RELEX, Blue Yonder, SAP, or Oracle RPAS.
• Previous experience working with or for Japanese retail chains.
• Experience in project leadership or mentoring junior consultants.
