Business Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, no-cost business counseling to small business owners and entrepreneurs regarding feasibility, finance, and operations.
• Analyze business and industry data to guide the development of business plans and financial packages.
• Prepare proforma cash flow and financial statements and interpret historical and projected financial ratios.
• Offer guidance on loan packaging, regulatory compliance, and expansion strategies.
• Plan, market, and facilitate training sessions relevant to small business growth.
• Develop and maintain a resource network and relationships with key stakeholders like the SBA, banks, and chambers of commerce.
• Promote the LSBDC program through community presentations and marketing materials.
• Ensure accurate data input into the client information management system.

Requirements

• B.A., B.S., or Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Alternatively, 5 years of experience in business ownership or operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based software applications.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to analyze complex financial and industry data.
