Business Banking Relationship Manager Trainee

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage relationships with a portfolio of small business clients to drive new business and increase market share.
• Proactively develop and execute sales strategies to attract new clients and expand existing relationships.
• Identify prospective customers and cross-sell additional products and services to meet their financial goals.
• Develop and maintain a business plan, including relationship management strategies, to achieve customer retention objectives.
• Build internal and external networks and referral sources to ensure ongoing growth.
• Provide expert advice, responsive service, and financial solutions to build client trust and credibility.
• Analyze data and financial information to provide insights, recommendations, and solve strategic problems.
• Ensure compliance with all security, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements to prevent fraud and maintain operational integrity.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
• In-depth knowledge of business banking products, lending processes, and loan documentation.
• Proven experience in customer sales and service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
