About the role
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage a portfolio of small business clients to increase market share and build a new business pipeline
- Execute sales strategies to attract new clients and expand existing relationships through consultative practices
- Develop internal and external networks and referral sources to ensure ongoing business growth
- Create and execute business plans and relationship management strategies to achieve customer retention objectives
- Identify prospective customers and cross-sell financial products and services to meet diverse client needs
- Provide expert advice, responsive service, and financial solutions tailored to customer goals
- Analyze data and financial information to provide insights, recommendations, and solve strategic problems
- Maintain operational integrity by following security, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness
- Deep knowledge of business banking products, lending processes, and loan documentation
- Proven experience in customer sales and service
- In-depth verbal and written communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and technical business tools
