Business Banker

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of business banking clients, owning the full journey from onboarding to deepening relationships
• Provide tailored financial recommendations including business accounts, credit, and treasury services
• Actively prospect and network to build relationships with external and internal partners to drive high-quality referrals
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Lending Officers to support complex client structures
• Analyze client operations and priorities to align financial solutions with their specific business goals
• Ensure all activities remain compliant with bank policies, risk guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in financial services, sales, or customer service
• Ability to meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originators
• Strong business acumen and the ability to provide professional financial consultation

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience managing a dedicated book of small business customers
• Extensive knowledge of bank lending programs, credit policies, and specialty products
• Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners
• Proficiency in proactively sourcing and acquiring new business customers
• Experience mentoring or peer-coaching others
