Business Application Specialist

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, site visits, use cases, and workflow analysis
• Deliver artifacts including Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirements, and Use cases
• Translate business processes and system specifications into well-written test plans
• Execute, document, and evaluate test cases and report results
• Accurately report and track application bugs and verify fixes
• Serve as a liaison between the customer community and the software development team
• Act as a conduit between business, project managers, database engineers, and technical operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or IT-related discipline
• 4-6 years of project experience in software development and change management
• Sound knowledge of Project and Software development lifecycles
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio
• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Working towards Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
