Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert

Responsibilities

• Participate in identifying business requirements by working directly with business stakeholders, end users, and technology
• Produce business requirements and functional specifications for API and GUI projects
• Document, communicate, and review requirements with project team members and Business users
• Work directly with technology Development, Systems Analysis and QA staff to answer questions, help troubleshoot issues, and perform high level user acceptance testing

Requirements

• Previous experience writing business requirements in the financial industry
• Strong knowledge of OTC financial markets, especially Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and Foreign Exchange (FX) Swaps
• Familiarity with formal requirements management processes
• Working knowledge of system design, architecture, and software development life cycles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and Equity Swaps
• Familiarity with Calypso OTC Clearing and Processing software
• Experience with CME Group asset classes (Energies, Metals, Agricultural Products)
• Knowledge of listed derivatives, clearing systems, and risk management methodologies
• Understanding of XML, FpML, FIX protocol, and FIXML
