Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements
• Translate product strategy into Epics, Features, User Stories, and acceptance criteria
• Support Agile Scrum teams through backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirements clarification
• Create and maintain process documentation including BPMN 2.0 process flows and data flow diagrams
• Perform advanced SQL queries, database profiling, and troubleshooting activities
• Define test objectives, test plans, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in business and data analysis
• 8+ years of experience in systems analysis and translating requirements into user stories
• 5+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management
• 5+ years of experience using BPMN 2.0
• 5+ years of advanced SQL experience, including complex queries and troubleshooting
• VDOT experience is required
• Must be local to Richmond, VA and able to work onsite
• Must physically reside within the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
• PMI – Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
• PMI – Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
• Experience using Azure DevOps or Jira
• Experience with automated testing tools such as TestComplete, Cucumber, or Selenium

Benefits

• 1099 Contract role
• Compensation: $41 – $61 per hour
