Business Analyst Specialist - Equity Trading Technology

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive operational support for Fidessa and other Institutional Equity trading desk systems.
• Troubleshoot existing and new functionality, coordinating with vendors to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct analysis to define requirements, design, testing, and implementation processes for system enhancements.
• Resolve complex business problems for Equity Sales and Trading by applying technological knowledge to iterative prototyping and solution design.
• Elicit, validate, and prioritize requirements through collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile scrums and work closely with development personnel and other technology groups.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience working within an Equity trading environment.
• Proven experience providing support in a Trading Floor or high-paced GCM environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Deep knowledge of Equity trading systems (Fidessa experience preferred).
• Functional knowledge of Equity Trading, including exposure to Listed Options, Convertible Bonds, and Futures.
• University degree in a relevant field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for reporting to management and supporting the user community.

Preferred Qualifications

• Series 7 and 63 licenses.
