About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Data Analysis Associates, managing capacity, priorities, and career development.
- Own the reporting and analytics roadmap for Core Cash and Commercial Card within CIB Payments Operations.
- Drive analytics to detect emerging fraud trends, quantify impacts, and optimize decisioning rules.
- Manage end-to-end data pipelines, including defining requirements, automating ETL, and ensuring data integrity.
- Lead quality assurance, UAT, and change management processes to ensure audit readiness.
- Deliver high-quality reporting and visualization through dashboards and KPI views for fraud controls.
- Strengthen risk management and controls through continuous process improvement and root-cause analysis.
- Champion Agile ways of working, including running ceremonies and managing backlogs in JIRA.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or technology roles, specifically supporting fraud, risk, or operations.
- Proven experience in people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and delegation.
- Strong ability to conduct complex data analysis and translate findings into actionable business stories.
- Advanced proficiency in automation and BI technologies (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, or Qlik).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and lookups.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for backlog management and reporting.
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain expertise in fraud detection, anomaly detection, and optimization of fraud strategies.
- Strong programming skills in SQL; knowledge of Python and AWS Athena is highly desirable.
- Experience with payments and card domains (ACH, wires, RTP, commercial card controls).
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience partnering with Data Science teams on machine learning-adjacent solutions.
