Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders by developing a deep understanding of their business domain.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate product vision and epics into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and manage an up-to-date product backlog.
• Work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure software delivery aligns with product vision and timelines.
• Support agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, showcases, and retrospectives.
• Provide actionable insights and solution recommendations grounded in industry best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis delivering software solutions in agile environments.
• Essential experience working within the financial services industry.
• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements for engineering teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Solid understanding of Agile Scrum environments and software development planning techniques.
• Proficiency in standard BA practices, including process modelling, stakeholder mapping, and backlog management.
• Availability to start at one week's notice due to the urgency of the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in superannuation, retirement products, wealth management, banking, or insurance.
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured, self-directed approach to problem-solving.
